Ms. Lamia Kawtharani-Chami serves as the President of the Multicultural Association of the Greater Moncton Area (MAGMA) and chair of MOSAÏQ Festival 2022 Organizing Committee. She is a passionate educator, community advocate in the areas of diversity and multiculturalism, and devoted mother. As an accomplished PhD Candidate in the areas of Science/Teacher Education at the University of New Brunswick, she has dedicated her research to comparing and understanding multicultural education. Further, she is a professor at the Université de Moncton, a member of the Research Team on International Teaching and Teacher Education, a published author, and trusted community leader. Lamia’s global experience has shaped her world views on the importance of equity of opportunity, tolerance of diversity, social justice, and a strong sense of citizenship and empowerment. She also serves as a Director of the Lebanese Association of Greater Moncton.

David is the President of Jupia Consultants Inc., an economic development consulting and research firm based in New Brunswick. David has more than 25 years’ experience as a consultant working with industry, not-for-profit organizations and governments across Canada.
Previously, he was Chief Economist with the Government of New Brunswick. In that role, he worked with the Premier and Cabinet on the development of economic policy, economic development and people attraction strategy.
He is a long-time columnist with Brunswick News, author of the It’s the Economy, Stupid! newsletter and co-host of the weekly Insights podcast with Don Mills. In addition to his role on the MAGMA board, David chairs the United Way of Greater Moncton board of directors and is on the Leadership Council at First Moncton Baptist Church.

Huimin Li obtained her Chartered Professional Account (CPA) in 2019 and works with TD Bank as a Senior Finance Analyst. Her expertise is in Financial Reporting and Tax. When Huimin is not doing account balances or financial analysis, she likes jogging or chatting with friends/colleagues.

In keeping with the Province of New Brunswick and the Greater Moncton area making immigration a key priority, Caroline Gingles joined MAGMA’s board as liaison between the Anglophone School District and MAGMA’s School and Youth Team as well as MAGMA’s English Language department. Caroline has served on the Board of MAGMA since 2015 and is current chair of the Education Committee as well as a member of the MOSAÏQ Festival Organizing Committee.
For the past nine years Caroline has been an admissions officer in the International Welcome Centre (IWC) in the Anglophone East School District (ASDE). There has been steady growth of newcomer families to the region during her tenure adding to and celebrating diversity in all anglophone district schools.
Having lived in India and Scotland as a child, as well as nine years living in Japan working as an English as an Additional Language (EAL) university instructor and for a multinational company, gives Caroline a strong combination of lived and professional experience. She brings her passion for multiculturalism to her role. She has deep passion for building a diverse, inclusive community where we can all thrive and succeed.

Dave is serving his first term as City Councillor for Ward 3. He is currently Associate Pastor of Family Ministries and Sonshine Kids Academy at Hillside Church. As the Executive Director of the Buckingham Leadership Institute Dave also equips leaders to increase their effectiveness.
Dave began his post-secondary education at the University of New Brunswick (UNB) earning a Bachelor of Kinesiology. He later went on to study in the field of church ministry at Briercrest Bible College and later earned a Master’s in Leadership from Liberty University. Ordained in both the Wesleyan and Baptist church, Dave began his ministry career in 2000 and has served at both Moncton Wesleyan and Hillside Church. Although Dave’s roles have been diverse over the years, they have all required team collaboration on projects, empowering and overseeing volunteers and staff, organizing large events, and communicating effectively.
Fueled by a strong passion for local and global missions, Dave played an integral part of organizing several humanitarian trips for over two hundred students to poverty-stricken areas of the world. These included many building and service projects in Haiti, Congo, Trinidad, Ukraine, Cambodia, Guatemala and New York City. On a local level, Dave has worked with teams who have donated time and resources to Harvest House, Teen Challenge Atlantic, Pregnancy & Wellness Centre of Moncton, local food banks and community gardens, Moncton Headstart, several Christmas support programs, as well as Camp Wildwood.
Dave enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters and attending live sporting events.

Sarah Murphy is a Town Councillor for Ward 1 in Riverview. A part-time teacher with the Anglophone East School District prior to joining Council, Sarah has been an active community volunteer since 2007. She has served on various boards and committees such as the Riverview Library Board, the Riverview East Parent and School Support Committee, the Friends of Mill Creek Committee, and has also been involved with the local Neighbourhood Watch committee and Pickleball Board. Sarah believes strongly in the importance of community connectedness and ensuring that all new residents feel welcome to Riverview. She chairs the Riverview Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Committee, in addition to being liaison for The Multicultural Association of Greater Moncton Area (MAGMA) and Riverview Armed Forces and Veterans Association.
When not busy working to improve her community, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband, Shawn, and their sons, Grady and Jesse. Favourite family activities include hiking, biking, golfing, going to the beach, and travelling.

Alexandre Robichaud is a proud Acadian with roots right here in New Brunswick. He received his Juris Doctor from the Université de Moncton in 2020 and was called to the Law Society of New Brunswick in June of 2021. Prior to studying law, Alexandre obtained a Bachelor of Business with specialization in Human Resources from Lakehead University in 2016 and completed a Master of Business Administration from Lakehead University in 2017.
Alexandre is a member of the Law Society of New Brunswick and the Canadian Bar Association. Alexandre is actively involved in his community and currently sits on the Board of Directors of the United Way. When not at work, Alexandre enjoys spending time outdoors, playing basketball and spending time with his family.

Laurie Fisher is an award-winning senior leader with over two decades of experience in business services and is passionate about community development. Currently Vice President of Business Development for Scientific Games in Canada, Laurie helps her clients develop and execute strategies to grow their businesses efficiently. Previous to her role at Scientific Games, she held roles at Bulletproof, a GLI Company, was Director, Business Relations with Medavie Blue Cross and Regional Manager with Kelly Services, a Fortune 500 workforce solutions company. Laurie holds a Master`s degree in Business Administration from l’Université de Moncton and a Bachelor’s degree in Science from Mount Allison University. Laurie resides in Riverview with her cherished children and husband.

Ron has a combined 17 years of CEO experience leading regional economic development agencies. He has been a catalyst for change, leading the branding of regions and agencies, creating, and implementing strategic planning, and mobilizing community stakeholders around a unified vision.
Ron recently served four years as CEO of Economic Development Greater Saint John. Prior to this, he spent a decade leading several economic development agencies including the Windsor Essex Economic Development Corporation and the Region of Waterloo Economic Development Department as well as leading strategic planning and project work with several communities in Ontario.
Ron has been recognized as Canadian Economic Developer of the Year (a lifetime achievement award), Canadian Top 40 Under 40, one of Atlantic Canada’s Top 50 CEOs and recently was awarded the Moncton Rotary Resilience Award.
Ron is currently the 1st Vice President of the Economic Developers Association of Canada and is a member of the ARSIA Board of Directors.
